DVD: F9/11

Despite the tide of negativity against the film and personal attacks against the filmmaker, it won the Gold Palm (first prize) at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2004 and the Academy Award for Best Film of 2004 the following spring. One of the most controversial and provocative films ever, Fahrenheit 9/11 is Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore's searing examination of the Bush administration's actions in the wake of the tragic events of 9/11. With his characteristic humor and dogged commitment to uncovering the facts, Moore considers the presidency of George W. Bush and where it has led us. Every claim in the film has been meticulously fact-checked by (yes, Republican) lawyers, so that nothing in the film could be cause for a lawsuit. The facts presented in the content of this documentary are indisputable. Neocons may choose to refuse to see the film, or deny the truth, but ety are not able to refute the facts presented. Which is why Bush and war supporters have done at least two harchet job DVD's in an effort to discredit the factual charges the film makes against the Bush administration. No other film has ever inspired two film efforts to discredit it. In the future, this film will be seen as the major change-agent in awareness that it is. While Bush remains in power, the polarization of the country has discouraged repeat screenings. Despite the fact that every statement in the film is accurate and verifiable, the right has convinced many not to even watch it. They know the power of fact-based film to persuade public opinion.

The DVD has 90 minutes of extras including: the people of Iraq on the eve of invasion; homeland security Miami style; outside Abu Ghraib Prison; eyewitness account from Samara, Iraq; extended interview with Abdul Henderson; Arab-American comedians; Condoleezza Rice's 9/11 commission testimony; and a Rose Garden press briefing after Bush's 9/11 commission appearance.

Use this powerful film to influence those who still cling to the lies that continue to come out of the Bush/Cheney administration.
Groups have organized free showings at their local public library or at house parties throughout the country. You can, too. Better yet, start a free monthly film series in your area! This low price is for the previously-viewed copies of the DVD. Most of these previously-viewed DVD's were actually seldom-viewed before the chain video stores dumped their overstock of them. (After all, documentaries aren't what most people go to the video store to rent.) This film's important message needs to be shown again and again through to the 2008 national election.
